The Meaning Behind the Name Vivosan

The name Vivosan is derived from two Latin terms.

Vivo stands for life, vitality and being alive.

San originates from Sanitas and represents health, wellbeing, wellness and happiness.

Together, the company name combines two core values: life and health. These are exactly the values that matter most to us in everyday life, and especially within family life.

The Heart as a Symbol

Our company logo features a heart. For us, the heart is a powerful and universal symbol of love and life.

The two mirrored halves of the heart represent connection and togetherness. They remind us that many things in life belong together, just like the deep love between parents and their children. This special bond is a force that has inspired and motivated people throughout history.

The heart also appears throughout everyday life as a symbol of affection. We send hearts as a warm greeting, use them in messages and on social media, and express love, appreciation and closeness through them.

Many common expressions are built around the heart as well. We offer heartfelt congratulations, speak of kindness of heart, or describe someone as having their heart in the right place. When we dedicate ourselves wholeheartedly to something, we put our heart and soul into it. And sometimes there are moments when everything seems to go our way, while at other times our hearts may sink or even become broken.

All of these images demonstrate one thing: the heart brings together every human emotion.

A Symbol of Life and Endurance

The heart represents more than emotion; it symbolises life itself. It is one of the body's most important organs, ensuring that every organ receives blood, oxygen and essential nutrients.

This small yet remarkably powerful muscle works tirelessly. Over the course of a lifetime, the human heart beats approximately 2.5 billion times and pumps more than 200 million litres of blood throughout the body. That equates to around 7,000 litres every day.

What is equally remarkable is that the heart works almost without pause. While other muscles can rest, the heart continues beating continuously, day after day, throughout an entire lifetime.

For this reason, it also symbolises endurance, strength and perseverance.

Vivosan – In Love with Life

For us, the heart embodies everything Vivosan stands for: love, strength, endurance, trust and life itself.

That is why we consciously chose the heart as the symbol of our company.

Vivosan – In Love with Life.
