WHAT IS PLA

The material, usually referred to as bioplastic, is biodegradable and compostable and is obtained from the fermentation of corn starch, sugar cane or sugar beets. It is free of melamine, BPA, lead, phthalates, PVC, mercury and latex, making it an excellent sustainable alternative to petroleum-based products.
